Broad Street Run 2022: Train for a good cause

April 29, 2022

Training for the Broad Street Run 2022? It just became a lot easier—and charitable.

Every year (except in 2020 and 2021 for obvious reasons,) the country’s largest 10-mile race picks up speed on Broad Street, and participants from all over the country flock to participate in the gritty challenge.

Set for May 1 this year, most have already been getting their running shoes in shape, but there’s an even easier way to do it with some notable and local institutions.

City Fitness has partnered once again with Back on My Feet, a local nonprofit with a national reach, for the 2nd year in hopes of raising funds and support. The duo also teamed up in 2020 before the event was made virtual, so naturally, 2022 is a big year for both Philly organizations.

As a release states, this year, City Fitness will lead a series of training runs in partnership with BoMF on Saturday mornings leading up to the Broad Street Run. Through these training runs, the organizations seek to not only help the city train, but to also give support to the homeless community. As a bonus, runners who are still looking to acquire an entry to Broad Street Run will be given the opportunity to join the BoMF FundRacing Team—a $25 registration fee and an agreement to raise $500 for the organization will secure your place in one of the most popular races in Philadelphia.
